A Visionary Designer

A professionally-trained engineer, Effy Hematian has been designing exquisite and distinctive jewelry since 1979. Each piece is infused with his creative vision and handmade in the U.S. Stones for the jewelry are hand-selected in the company’s gem-sorting room.

Effy pieces are made with something known as the lost-wax process, where wax models are created of the jewelry, then plaster is poured over them and put in a kiln overnight. The wax burns out and creates a hollow space, where gold is poured in and solidified.
